Like
most people, I did not start out to breed and show dogs. I bought
a poodle in 1967 and did some obedience and
went to a few dog shows with friends and the next thing I knew, it was 1977
and I had my first litter of puppies.
Ever since that first litter of pups, I knew I wanted to be
able to breed healthy, quality poodles with good temperaments, and always striving for
improvement in the breed. I feel I have accomplished this but know that I have built a
foundation upon which I can still improve. It is also very satisfying to be able to
provide healthy, happy, home raised puppies as pets. One of these "pets"
went to someone who became my friend and co-breeder, Barbara, in 1991. Since that time, we
have worked together to increase our genetic testing for healthier dogs. Not only do we
have quality show dogs, but working registered therapy dogs attesting to the temperament
of our dogs. In 1990, I added Japanese Chin to my Cin-Don line, and enjoy learning more about this breed with each
passing year.
I hope you enjoy viewing the
story of my dogs in pictures as much as we enjoy sharing them with you. We will be
adding to the Cin-Don story with each new champion and each new litter of pups. And it is
our hope that each one will be better than the last.
